The University of Leeds and Institute for Experiential and Skills Based Learning (IESBL) will be hosting an event to dig deeper into all aspects of work, employability and experiential learning.
Sounds really interesting, sorry I can’t attend in person. Seen students have a mix of experiences certainly on our computing course and many didn’t get a placement. But there are other ways to gain experience when you can’t get a placement.
Can't make it for the 26th but we have been using a work based learning shell framework for over 20 years at the University of Chester. There are similar examples at other UK universities
Hi, I've just joined the IESBL after attending the recent event at Northumbria University and finding out a bit more about it. I would love to have attended this event as I'm involved in placements here in the Newcastle Business School at Northumbria. I'm currently starting out on a couple of research ideas into the value-add of placements and how we can use this to help improve, promote and make placement opportunities accessible to as many students as possible. I'd love to see any outputs from this event and hear of any future events in this area.
Hi Phil - Great that you've signed up. We're working on how we publish presentations and outputs from the event at the moment. We update members on events through posts and newsletters. Thanks
Reading through the abstracts, this is an area of interest here at LCC, UAL. So disappointed to have missed. Please do let me know if you are considering a follow up event which non - attendees may be able to come along to. Late to the party, but keen to join in!
