ExperiencED Festival: Empowering Education Through Experience
Call for proposals: Northeastern University London hosting a celebration of all things experiential
On 11 June, Northeastern University London are hosting a festival of experiential learning. Drawing on their expertise crafted in the US and more recently in London, they’re looking for collaborators to share and celebrate their innovative practices, research, and insights on experiential learning in higher education.
This one-day free event will focus on pedagogy and practical applications that enhance student engagement and real-world readiness. Registration will open in a few weeks. Ahead of this, they are looking for proposals along the following sub-themes:
• Global Experience: Strategies for incorporating international and cross-cultural learning opportunities effectively.
• Impactful Assessment: Research-informed methods for evaluating experiential learning processes and outcomes that have impact.
• Interdisciplinary Learning: Approaches that bridge disciplines to create holistic, integrated learning experiences.
• Partner-Engaged Learning: Collaborations with industry, community, or other stakeholders to enhance student experiences, including work-based learning and apprenticeships.
Proposals can either be presentations (e.g. 10min presentation with 5min Q&A) or workshops (45mins to develop ideas and actions). Submissions from creative collaborations between academic teams, professional service teams, external partners and students are welcomed.
If you’re interested in submitting a proposal, please email experiential.learning@nulondon.ac.uk for more details.
